Care Tips

We pride ourselves with our quality workmanship and would like to extend our knowlage and experiance to our customers. Please follow these care tips to ensure that your wood stays in excellent condition for years to come.

A. Before installing new cabinetry, an investment of less than $10 can save a lot of time and money in the future. Sprinkle a generous amount boric acid behind and bellow the cabinets. this will prevent any insects (including termites) to even get near or into your cabinets.

B. When it comes to cleaning, a lot of people are using oily spray or liquids, such as 'pledge'. In actuality those commercial "cleaners" are creating an oily film that leaves marks and prints. Just use plain old water and mild soap to remove food stain, finger prints, etc. You'll be amazed how well it works.

C. If you own furniture, cabinetry on any wood work that's finished with oil and not varnish or lacquer, it may be a good idea to rejuvenate that finish every 3-5 years. It will restore the deep look of the grain, protect the surface from water and moisture damage and extend the life of the piece. Use MINWAX's "antique finish oil" (natural or walnut), just follow the instructions on the red can.
